Check out our video below to learn how to use the two-button interface on some Black Diamond headlamp models. Be sure to watch to the end where TJ breaks down which features appear on each style.
Depending on which lamp you choose, you'll come across some of the following features.
Brightness memory - This allows the headlamp to return to whatever brightness level it was on when turned off. This is handy when you don't want to turn on the lamp to full force and spend time adjusting the brightness levels.
Lock - By holding down the mode and main buttons, you're able to lock it in the "off" position, helping prevent accidental battery loss while stowed.
Dimming - Holding down the main button will allow the headlamp to cycle through brightness levels. Release once you've reached the desired brightness.
Power Tap - In some models, you'll be able to touch the side panel and send the lamp to full brightness levels for 30 seconds. This is a great feature for wildlife encounters, or any time you hear a noise in the night, and need a quick look at your surroundings.
Mode button - This button cycles through beams, like distance, proximity, and color LEDs.
